The Big Idea:

Inspired by the Maker Movement, Thinker Space is a workshop where visitors can learn how to use real tools and materials, engage in the design process, and make something from start to finish.

Design work:

Exhibition aesthetic, signage, environmental wall graphics, and interpretive graphics.

Environmental Graphics

I worked with a team to conceptualize the aesthetic for Thinker Space based on the big idea and desired learning objectives. During brainstorming meetings, I proposed the concept of “sketchbook walls,” which was selected to go to final design. The complex environmental wall graphics incorporate inspiring quotes, quirky doodles, architectural drawings, and hidden gems that all support the big idea of the exhibition.

Interpretive Graphics

I collaborated with a team to develop the content for and design quirky and creative interpretive graphics to help guide visitors find materials, recycle projects, and embrace the learning goals of the exhibition.

Digital Interpretive Graphics

An 80” monitor plays a slideshow of curated inspirational imagery. This slideshow includes graphics I designed that prompt visitors while engaging in the space.
